The situation

What has happened

From 14 September 2026 the Wattle Creek plant runs a night crushing shift to fill a Hunter Roads Consortium order for 20 millimetre aggregate and road base. Conveyor CV03 has returned to service after its guard was refitted. The road base stockpile must be built and blended to specification, samples must be taken at the intervals on the quality plan, and the crusher must stay within its limits. The environmental authority restricts night noise and dust, and the crusher sprays and the stockpile shaping are part of the trigger action response plan. Any plant alarm, guard problem or dust exceedance must be recorded and reported to the Processing Superintendent.

Your brief. Carry out the control room start-up checks, run the crushing and screening plant within its limits, build and blend the road base stockpile, take and record the quality samples, and record any plant, guarding or environmental issue in the Hazard and Incident Register.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Look for start-up checks that confirm guarding and open permits before the plant runs, samples taken at the required intervals with results recorded, a stockpile method that produces the specified grading, and a correct response to the crusher alarm and the dust trigger, with each recorded and reported to the superintendent.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
